DermaScar® Classic is a clinically proven silicone gel used to soften and flatten raised scars.
It provides a barrier over the skin that prevents damage externally and allows the skin to heal internally.
DermaScar^® reduces the appearance of scars such as hypertrophic and keloid scars and has also been successfully used to treat scars caused by trauma, burns and surgery.
If you have a scar from surgery, check that the wound has healed first before applying DermaScar. This is typically 10 to 14 days after surgery. Before applying DermaScar clean the area first with mild soap and water and then pat dry. Place a pea-size amount of gel at the tip of the scar and gently spread thinly over the affected area. A pea-size amount is enough to cover a 12cm scar. Allow the gel to dry for 1 to 2 minutes. Once dry, DermaScar may be covered with cosmetics or sunscreen.
